Engage in our “Nature Challenges,” happening concurrently with the global/Texas City Nature Challenge 2025 from April 26 to April 29. Join the fun, friendly competition and contribute valuable data for scientists while fostering a stronger community around local nature.

Our San Antonio Metro Area is actively involved, collaborating with other Texas Urban/Metro Areas through TPWD-TNT and Texas Master Naturalist. Be part of the excitement of City Nature Challenge 2025-San Antonio Metro Area! Check out individual fun games during iNaturalist CNC2025 to boost your motivations.

Embark on a delightful iNaturalist adventure with our “Fun Bingo” designed for novice users.

Simply download the PDF sheet and let it be your guide in making iNaturalist observations. Check off the boxes as you make each observation. Once you’ve completed the card, you’ll earn the privilege to download the exclusive CNC2024 Certificate.

Share your accomplishment on social media by proudly announcing, “I completed iNaturalist Fun Bingo!” Print your certificate and, most importantly, have a blast exploring nature!

Community Nature Challenge

Calling all community groups, corporate teams, and civic groups for a bit of friendly competition to find nature in your backyards, local parks, and nature areas.

Go out together, host an event, or attend one of CNC2024 events to contribute valuable data. Showcase that you have the wildest group in the SA-Metro Area.

Upload observations by May 4th.
Nature Challenge winners will be announced online by May 5th.
An on-site celebration will take place TBD

Remember to keep your observations wild! Limit the number of your observations that are cultivated/captured. Make verifiable observations (clear pictures) and look for different species. We are on the hunt for TPWD’s “Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN).” Take part in individual events and/or Team Nature Challenge events – it’s okay to be in more than one umbrella event. Have fun!!
